Princess Beatrice looks just peachy in a light pink dress as she shops in St Tropez

Princess Peachy: Beatrice looked very summery in her light pink dress as she strolled around St Tropez

She might have been criticised for her choice of attire in the past but Princess Beatrice is certainly coming into her own in the fashion stakes.

Proved yesterday as she strolled around St Tropez in a pretty peach kaftan cover-up which suited her fair skin and red hair perfectly.

The young royal looked very summery as she shopped in the French Riviera town with some friends.

Also in tow was her long-term boyfriend Dave Clark who had joined her on the holiday and former Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini.

Beatrice, 22, looked happy and relaxed as she browsed the designer shops and chatted and laughed with her friends.

And no wonder she was in a good mood after receiving a 2:1 in her history degree last week.

Summer loving: Beatrice was accompanied by her long-term boyfriend Dave Clark who looked smart but casual in his checked shirt, shorts and flip flops

She teamed her peach kaftan, which covered her black bikini, with a white canvas fedora hat.

The Princess is back in France having holidayed there with Clark on a £400,000-a-week super-yacht in the South of France at the end of last month.

She jetted back to the UK to receive her degree result and attend the Centre Court semi-final match between Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Novak Djokovic on July 1.

Shopping spree: Beatrice and her friends hit St Tropez's designer boutiques

Where shall we go next? Beatrice peruses the shops as they decide where to spend their money

But she is now back in the South of France and was seen treating herself to some couture from French designer Max Azria's boutique.

She and two girlfriends perused the shops and splashed out on some new clothes, which we may get to see at some point throughout their vacation.

And no doubt Beatrice would have taken some shopping tips from her new stylist.

Can I wait outside? Dave hangs his head as an excited Beatrice heads to another shop

According to reports, the royal has hired Harry Potter star Emma Watson's stylist to help her improve her image.

She appointed Charlie Anderson, whose clients include Katie Holmes, Anne Hathaway and Nicole Richie, at a cost of £1,500 a day.

A source told New magazine: 'She's encouraged Beatrice to tone down patterns and go for block colour, great tailoring and stylish accessories.'
