Diversity Wins, Susan Boyle Placed Second in Britain's Got Talent 2009 Finals

Despite her unusual popularity, overnight internet phenomenon Susan Boyle only came in second place to dance group Diversity in the world's biggest talent show "Britain's Got Talent".

Boyle, 48, had been expected to triumph after her performance in April of "I Dreamed a Dream" catapulted her to international superstardom. But the dance troupe Diversity have been crowned the winners of Britain's Got Talent 2009.

The 10-member troupe from Essex, England and London who won by public vote receives 100,000 pounds ($160,000) and will perform at the Royal Variety Performance in front of the Queen on December.

In third place was saxophonist Julian Smith.
