Neil Etheridge Cried After Last Sunday's Game; Dedicates the Azkals' Victory to His Gandfather

Philippine Azkals goalkeeper Neil Etheridge was seen crying of both happiness and sorrow after the historic winning of his team against the Sri Lanka Red Braves on Sunday at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.

Happiness because his team scored 4 goals to none in their match against Sri Lanka making the Philippine Azkals the first Philippine team to advance to the second round of the FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

But while he was trying to enjoy that very momentous event, he also couldn't keep his emotions intact because of the passing of his grandfather, who was based in England, weeks ago before their training camp in Germany.

And just minutes after the match ended, Neil immediately changed shirts with a picture of him and his grandfather in front with the words: "Rest in Peace, Granddad". Across his back, was printed "You will always be remembered."

In his Twitter account (), Neil said: "Great Win! 4-0 Thank you for my family, mum and dad coming all the way to watch me and R.I.P Grandad, that game was for you!"
