RED SILK

RED SILK

O Radiant bride that kissed
With flames of love
The frenzied day ....
Her bridegroom.
Flee not from his lips
To those of another
Unseen ... Unfamiliar
Only imagined.

Unswayed by earthly plea,
She slides into the Other's bed.
Echoes of her beauty
Soaked up by passing clouds ...
Transformed...
Pink-sugared promises.
Then final...
Glorious punishment.

Scrap of scarlet skirt,
Caught upon thorn of disappointment:
Teasing....
Tantalizing ...
Triumphant ...
Trailing ...
Threads...

RED SILK!
