Just a few weeks ago she was sporting long blonde tresses as she exchanged wedding vows with professional hockey player Chris Comrie.

But Hilary Duff has now taken a step towards the darker side, as she showed off a newly coloured hairdo.

The Gossip Girl actress showcased her 'blondette' style - a mixture of blonde and brown - as she emerged from a Beverly Hills beauty salon yesterday.

Duff, 23, got her big break in 2001 after clinching the title role on the No.1 rated Disney television series Lizzie McGuire, immediately becoming an international star.
Since getting married, the multi-talented star has had nothing but wondering things to say about her new husband.

She recently told Us Magazine, 'He's a great guy. I've never met anyone who could say a bad word about him.

'He's generous, caring, funny. We just laugh our heads off, which I need in my life.'
The couple made sure to sign a pre-nuptial agreement before getting married.

This was to protect Mike as much as Hilary - he is heir to a $500 million fortune.
They recently bought a gorgeous Beverly Hills mansion in the exclusive Summit community.

And now Hilary is putting her old Toluca Lake mansion on the market for $7 million.
She bought the house in March of 2004 for $3,500,000.
