It might not be the typical way to train for upcoming matches, but Ashley thought it would be a good idea to go out drinking with the lads in London until 5am.
He was joined by Carlton Cole, 27, and Shaun Wright-Phillips, 29, on the boys’ night out at Boujis club in South Kensington.
The footballers were seen sipping on cocktails at the swanky venue before heading to Jet Black in the West End.
Ashley, 30, won’t be taking part in today’s England match against Ghana at Wembley due to his hectic Premier League and UEFA Champions League schedules.
John Terry, Frank Lampard, Wayne Rooney and Michael Dawson have also been released from the friendly, while Steven Gerrard and Rio Ferdinand are suffering from long-term injuries.
England manager Fabio Capello said: ‘I decided to let the five players go because they had just played four games in 10 days.’

But onlookers told the Daily Star that Ashley emerged ‘bleary-eyed’ as he stumbled out in the early hours of Monday morning.
The £120,000-a-week star has also reportedly been dating upcoming Hollyoaks' actress Annie Cooper, 27.
The actress is set to join the soap next month as WAG wannabe Alex.
She said of her role: ‘I am delighted to be joining the glamorous cast of Hollyoaks as naughty minx Alex.’
