ABS-CBN gained the ultimate seal of consumer approval after receiving the Gold Award in the prestigious Reader's Digest Most Trusted Brands 2010 Survey.
The Kapamilya Network won in the Television Network Category after being voted by consumers as one of the most appealing television stations in the market.
ABS-CBN vice president for Corporate Communications Bong Osorio and ABS-CBN vice president for Creative Communications Management Robert Labayen accepted the award for the Kapamilya Network last Friday, April 30, in a ceremony at the New World Hotel in Makati City.
Osorio, who expressed gratitude to both the Reader's Digest and the public, said the award confirms other studies showing ABS-CBN as the network of choice for consumers who are looking for quality, credible, and high-rating entertainment and news programs.
"The fact that ABS-CBN has the top-performing programs in the country based on the ratings from TNS, is the most credible news source according to a Pulse Asia survey, is one of the top Google searches in the country, and now also one of the most trusted brands according to Readers' Digest only shows the enormous trust, confidence, and interest that the viewing public has for the network. And with recognitions like these, the people can expect us to work even harder for Filipinos worldwide," he said.
Voted 100% by consumers, the Reader's Digest Most Trusted Brand Survey is widely-considered to genuinely reflect consumers' choices of the most trusted and favorite brands in Hong Kong, India, China, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and the Philippines. Reader's Digest is the world's largest circulation magazine.
Incidentally, GMA Network also received the same prestigious award.
